A Miracle on June 17, 2022
It was June 17, 2022, when my life changed forever, and I had to undergo brain surgery for an aneurysm. Looking back, it all began around the time I turned 60. Eager to celebrate, I went out to a restaurant where I ate some food, completely unaware that I was allergic to arugula. The reaction made me incredibly sick, but the true turning point came when I suddenly developed a severe pinched nerve. The pain was so agonizing that my son had to call 911, and I was rushed to the emergency room. At the hospital, the pain from the nerve was so intense that the doctors had to run a battery of tests—X-rays, MRIs, and anything they could think of to pinpoint the problem. They gave me heavy medication to help ease the intense nerve pain, but the scans revealed something far more dangerous: a 6 cm brain (intracranial) aneurysm. The doctors delivered a devastating prognosis to my son, telling him that because of its size, I would not survive and likely only had three months to live.

The Road to Johns Hopkins
For two years, the weight of that diagnosis hung over me. It took me a long time to fully process everything that was happening before I could even begin to think about the future. But two years later, I went to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for a thorough examination. The doctors there discovered that the aneurysm had grown even larger, and my family was informed that I absolutely had to undergo brain surgery.

The Power of Prayer and Recovery
I believe with all my heart in the power of prayer, and I know that Anthony and Yvette, through their hospital prayer ministry, were interceding for me. They prayed passionately that God would guide the surgeon's hands throughout the operation. I know their prayers were answered because the moment the surgery successfully ended and I was placed in the recovery room, both Anthony and Yvette were right there with me. They were praying so fervently and angelically that, for a moment, I honestly thought I was in heaven. I could hear Yvette’s voice lifting me in the spirit. When I finally fully woke up, I asked Anthony to pray for me as well, and he did. Through the grace of God and the faithful support of their prayer ministry, I recovered.

Four Years of Grace
From June 17, 2022, to June 17, 2026, four full years have now passed. I have fully recovered, and I am alive. God worked a true miracle in my life—I am a walking, breathing testament to His mercy. I will forever be grateful for Anthony and Yvette’s ministry as they continue to visit hospitals, praying for others and bringing them hope and deliverance. Praise God!"

On 5/21/26, my dear friend, Greg, was hospitalized due to complications which stemmed from kidney stones. Greg’s medical condition was exacerbated because he developed sepsis. Greg underwent intensive medical treatment and was closely monitored in a critical care unit. On 5/24/26, Greg “coded” for approximately 9 minutes. He was revived by the hospital’s rapid response unit.
The medical team provided a grim report. I was informed that due to Greg’s senior age and his chronic, underlying medical conditions (cancer and diabetes), Greg’s chances for recovery were bleak and the next 52 hours were critical. I cried out in despair.

Tony and Yvette Williams visited Greg while he was in the intensive care unit. Greg was intubated and on life support. Yvette earnestly prayed for Greg’s full recovery. Days and weeks passed, Greg was unable to speak or move his limbs. Yvette and Tony continued visiting and praying for Greg. Greg underwent multiple scans to determine the extent of his brain activity.

The doctors reported that miraculously, Greg didn’t sustain any bleeding or damage to his brain. Days and weeks went by. The doctors seemed baffled by Greg’s paralysis, they continued running tests.

Greg gradually regained mobility in his limbs. The tubes were eventually removed from Greg’s body.

On 6/21/26, Father’s Day, without any real thought, I asked Greg if he wanted to wish his brother “Happy Father’s Day”. I dialed his brother’s number and placed the phone against Greg’s face. Greg blurted out, “Happy Father’s Day!” and proceeded to speak with his brother. I was stunned! Tears welled in my eyes, as I thanked God.Greg’s on the steady course of recovery.

He has a strong testimony!Glory be to God!I thank God daily for His blessings. I thank God for placing Tony and Yvette Williams in our lives. Yvette is a true prayer warrior. I’m truly grateful that she prayed for Greg.

Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude. James 5:16. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

About Yvette:

"I first met Yvette Williams via Zoom at a gathering with a wonderful women’s christian group, and from that very first virtual introduction, I felt an incredible sense of warmth and inclusion. Even through a screen, the genuine care, spiritual depth, and welcoming spirit she has was shone through. We met via Zoom for about a year before we met face to face.  Even though it was about a year before we met face-to-face, her loving nature and genuine care for people were unmistakable from day one.

When my nephew was hospitalized on life support in North Carolina, I texted Yvette while driving down from Pennsylvania to ask for prayer. Unbeknownst to me, Yvette and her husband, Tony, were currently at the beach in New Jersey. Yvette and her husband, Tony, immediately left their beach trip in New Jersey, driving hundreds of miles with just the clothes on their backs to stand with my family. To do this after only knowing me for almost two years speaks volumes about the woman Yvette is. Yvette loves others because her life is rooted in God. Witnessing them live out the command to love your neighbor as yourself deeply impacted my saved and unsaved family members. We talk about 'leading by example.’, Because Yvette is one of the founding members of the Forever Yielded, Forever Freed Ministry, I know without a doubt that this ministry is of God and is truly about our Father's business."

“Shamika Thierry is one of the hardest-working people I know. Balancing two full-time nursing jobs while dedicating herself fully—and with regular overtime—to her walk with Christ is a testament to her incredible drive and faith. We met virtually about two years ago, living in different states at the time, which meant it was well over a year before we finally met in person. However, distance and an intensely demanding schedule have never stopped Shamika from being a true disciple. More than just passionately sharing the good news of the gospel, she gives of herself physically, spiritually, and financially to support other women. Even while navigating her own trials and tribulations, she has continuously mentored, encouraged, and inspired me with unconditional love.

Shamika always sees the good in people, regardless of their walk in life. She is the ultimate embodiment of the golden rule to treat others as you wish to be treated—or rather, the Godly rule to treat others with agape love.”

About Maggy:

There is so much I can say about Maggy Lawrence with her beautiful smile and kind words.   Even when she is in pain she serves God by serving others and ALWAYS with a genuine beautiful smile.  Maggy does not allow her trials and tribulations to hinder being a disciple of God by serving others and putting the needs of others above her needs.  I thank God for using her for His glory and being His hands and feet on earth.

About Gardine 

It is difficult to put into words what is so much more than a former colleague or a friend of ten years. She is someone who has become part of my life, my journey, and my story. I had the privilege of working alongside her as a teacher for one year, but the friendship and bond we built outside of our workplace have lasted nearly a decade. Those years have given me the opportunity to see her character not only when life was easy, but more importantly, when life was incredibly difficult.

We worked together during the height of the pandemic, a time filled with uncertainty, fear, and challenges that none of us could have anticipated. Even then, I saw her as someone who is dependable, compassionate, hardworking, and willing to show up for others. But it was what happened outside of our workplace that truly showed me who she is.

Over the years, I experienced some of the greatest losses and most painful moments of my life. I lost my mother, my brother, and my father. Losing three of the most important people in my life left me devastated in ways that are difficult to explain. There were days when I didn't know how I was going to get through the next hour, let alone figure out how to move forward with my life.

And she showed up.

When so many people disappeared or simply did not know what to say, she was there. She didn't need an invitation. She didn't wait for me to ask for help. She made sure I was okay. She sat with me in some of the darkest moments and helped me navigate the overwhelming responsibilities that came with losing my family. She helped me stay focused while planning their services, helped me keep my thoughts together when grief made it difficult to think clearly, and reminded me to take things one step at a time.

But what I will remember most is that she helped me hold on to my faith when I was struggling to hold on to it myself.

She reminded me that I was still here for a reason. She encouraged me not to lose myself in my grief. She helped keep me grounded when everything around me felt like it was falling apart. She didn't try to take away my pain or pretend that everything was going to be okay. Instead, she stood beside me while I worked through it.

That is the kind of person she is.

Gardine shows up.

She shows up when things are difficult. She shows up when nobody is watching. She shows up when there is nothing she can gain from doing so. She shows up simply because she cares.

Our friendship has taught me that someone's character is not defined by what they say about themselves. It is defined by what they do when someone else is hurting, when life becomes inconvenient, and when there is no recognition or reward waiting for them. I have witnessed her character firsthand, and I can say without hesitation that she has an extraordinary heart.

She has demonstrated loyalty, compassion, patience, strength, integrity, and an incredible work ethic throughout the years I have known her. Gardine is someone I can trust, someone who keeps her word, and someone who genuinely wants to see the people around her succeed and be okay.

I am especially grateful that our relationship grew beyond the classroom. While I respect her tremendously as an educator and former colleague, I value even more the person I have come to know outside of work. I have seen her at her best, but I have also seen her consistently be there for others when they were at their worst. That tells me everything I need to know about her character.

During some of the most painful chapters of my life, she was one of the people who helped me find my footing again. She helped me keep my faith, maintain my sanity, stay grounded, and continue moving forward when I honestly wasn't sure how I would.

For that, I will always and forever be grateful.

After nearly ten years of knowing her, I can say with complete confidence that she is a genuinely good person with a strong moral compass, an enormous heart, and a level of compassion that is becoming increasingly rare. I would trust her with my life and the people I care about most.

I wholeheartedly testify and stand firm in who she is, not simply because of the professional qualities I witnessed during our year working together, but because I have had the privilege of knowing the person behind the professional title. I have seen her kindness when no one was looking, her strength when circumstances were difficult, and her loyalty when I needed someone most.

She didn't just tell me she was there for me.

She showed me.

And that, more than anything, is the truest testimony I can give about her character and who she is as a human.
